Session 1: Fundamentals of Contract and Commercial Law
A refresher of fundamentals of contract law – formation of a binding contract, anatomy of a contract and discussion of key commercial terms including warranties, indemnities and termination. Given the jurisprudence across ASEAN, we will have a comparative discussion on common law vs civil law.

Session 2: Dispute Resolution in Cross-border Commercial Deals
Discussion on the fundamentals, key considerations, choice of arbitration vs court vs mediation as alternatives for dispute resolution on commercial transactions. W and we will use examples and case studies to illustrate some of the issues.

Session 3: International Financing Deals
A half-day session where we will discuss the fundamentals and structures, cross border aspects including taking security on financing deals, followed by a deep dive of a loan agreement
Duration: 3 hours (1030 – 130 pm (Singapore time)) (March 2026)
Session 4: Restructuring and Insolvency: a cross-border perspective
An overview of debt restructuring options and tools we have seen in practice in recent restructurings. We will then discuss updates on Singapore’s debt restructuring landscape including proposed reforms and rationale.
