ASEAN LAW ASSOCIATION: Office Holders

Chief Justice Atthaniti Disatha-Amnarj

The Honourable Chief Justice Atthaniti Disatha-Amnarj was the Chairman of the ASEAN Law Association of Thailand from 1989 to 2006. He was elected President of the ALA on 25 Nov 2006 at the 9th ALA General Assembly held in Bangkok, Thailand. He received his legal education at the prestigious Thammasat University and was called to the Thai Bar before proceeding to Harvard Law School where he graduated with a Masters of Law degree.

He was the President of the Supreme Court of Thailand from 2002 to 2004. He has also been conferred several Royal Thai Orders and Decorations including Knight Grand Cordon (Special Class) of the Most Noble Order of the Crown of Thailand; and Knight Grand Cordon (Special Class) of the Most Exalted Order of the White Elephant; and Grand Companion (Third Class, Higher Grade) of the Most Illustrious Order of Chula Chom Klao.
